The reversible PEM fuel cell combines the functions of an electrolyzer and a fuel cell in ONE device. When an electric current is applied, the device acts as an electrolyzer that produces hydrogen and oxygen from deionized water. When a load is applied, the device functions as a fuel cell and generates electricity from hydrogen.
