Materials study of thermal resistance

Set of 4 plates made of different insulating materials commonly used in homes, to establish a quantitative classification of their thermal resistances.
These samples have been specifically sized to obtain notable comparative results with the 'thermal energy transfer' kit (ref. 253080, to be ordered separately).
Since the plastic plates have different densities, the comparative analysis of their thermal transfer allows students to understand why in the manufacturers' data tables, the value of thermal resistance for a given material is expressed as a range of values.
