This bench allows to measure the thermal resistance of different materials in steady-state conditions, to evaluate the improvement of thermal resistance by adding an insulating layer, to measure a heat flux between two walls, and to compare the thermal conductivity of materials. Thanks to a gravity locking system, a homogeneous thickness is ensured over the entire sample to be tested. The opening of this jaw allows stacking samples up to a maximum height of 10 mm. The user interface allows the student to manipulate and understand all the parameters involved in the relationship between heat flux, thermal resistance, and temperature difference. The set temperature difference is automatically regulated. The steady-state condition is directly verified on the screen by the student, ensuring an optimal experimental value. The analog ouExperimentuts of the measurement bench provide the possibility to monitor, through Computer-Aided Experimentation (ExAO), the two regulated temperatures and the heat flux. It is then easy to compare the thermal resistances of different samples or different combinations of tested materials.
