This kit, whose composition has been validated with the help of Math-Science teachers in Vocational Education, is dedicated to the Signals (optics) theme of the math-science programs in High School, and allows to address the following program lines. 10th grade: - Experimentally compare the sound attenuations of different mediums. - Implement piezoelectric transmitters and sensors. 11th and 12th grade: - Experimentally demonstrate the need for a material medium for sound propagation. - Experimentally determine the speed of sound propagation in air or water. - Experimentally study the attenuation of the acoustic intensity of a sound wave based on the propagation distance. - Experimentally show that the sound attenuation coefficient by a flat plate depends on the plate's thickness and the materials it is made of. - Experimentally classify two materials based on their ability to attenuate a sound wave. - Implement a system for information transmission through free or guided propagation.
