Moduson® 3 Transmitter Rangefinder

Experiment protocol:
➀ With the included support, the transmitter is placed in the tank, previously filled with water.

➁ The receiver supports will allow different positions to cover a wide range of measurements. With a single receiver, it can be placed in the center of the tank.

➂ The student can then move the receiver along the tank, in order to take measurements on the received signal, via the EXAO console and the Scientific Workshop software.

④ The transmitter can be configured to send the signal continuously, or in bursts (long or short). To ensure easy and safe use, the control box for the transmission signal configuration as well as the electrical connections, are managed by a remote box, which has no contact with the liquids.

Other feasible experiments:
- Highlighting the vibrational nature of an ultrasound, measuring its period and frequency
- Study of the reflection and absorption of ultrasounds
- Observation of points that vibrate in phase
- Verification of the relationship M = V/N
- Measurement of a distance using ultrasounds
