Sound level meter

Sound level meter consisting of a wooden resonating box to which two metal strings of different diameters and one nylon string are attached. The tension of the strings is adjusted using tightening screws. The device has a graduated scale of 1 m screen-printed on the top to locate the position of the bridges. An opening (5 x 5 cm) allows for placing a microphone inside the resonating box to study the sound emitted during vibration. Manipulations: - Measurement of the position of nodes and antinodes according to the vibration frequency of a string. - Sound production. - Study of the vibration of a metal string traversed by an alternating current near a magnet (with an amplified function generator).
