This system makes it possible to simulate the gaseous states, the Brownian movement and the boiling of a liquid.

By activating the vibrator, the steel balls representing molecules or atoms will be set in motion. Depending on the frequency of the vibrating plate, we can illustrate the solid, liquid and gaseous phases.
It is also possible to reduce the volume of the chamber using a piston plate.

A Brownian motion is defined by the random motion of a 'large' particle immersed in a fluid and which is subject to no other interaction than collisions with the 'small' molecules of the surrounding fluid.
By immersing one of the 4 aluminum discs provided in the chamber with the balls, the phenomenon of Brownian motion can be observed.

- 1 chamber with 48 steel balls

- 2 screws to mount the chamber on the vibrator

- 1 piston plate

- 1 vibrating plate

- 4 aluminum discs

- 1 mounting bracket for use with overhead projector
