Piano wire in rings

With the piano wire in rings, one observes stationary waves for certain frequencies of oscillations making it possible to establish a relation between the frequency and the number of knots. It is also a good model to represent the energy level of an electron around the nucleus of an atom (de Broglie length).
This device is made of an elastic, rigid wire and is equipped with a 4 mm banana plug for attachment to the vibrator.
