Michelson Complement

As part of the CPGE program on the study of electromagnetic waves, we offer you an interferential device based on the model of the Michelson interferometer, in addition to the centimetric waves kit (ref. 204029). The additional Michelson 204619 kit allows you to set up a Michelson interferometer using hyperfrequencies or centimetric waves instead of a light source. You will be able to demonstrate the existence of interferences between the paths traveled by the two arms. Similar to optics, it is possible to determine the wavelength of the transmitter by measuring the interfringe distance between two or more minima (recognizable by sound intensity or measurable with a voltmeter).
