Experiment Étude d'un interféromètre de Fabry-Pérot
Subjects discussed :
- Adjustment of a Fabry-Pérot interferometer
- Separation of the Sodium doublet
- Measurement of the fineness of the cavity and the resolving power
- Measurement of the quality coefficient
Principles and objectives:
The Fabry-Pérot interferometer is an optical device composed of two parallel, semi-transparent mirrors forming a resonant cavity. Incident light is repeatedly reflected between these mirrors, creating interference.
Composition :
▪ 1 Fabry-Pérot interferometer (ref.202759)
▪ 3 optical post-holder (ref.203213)
▪ 1 green laser 532 nm – 1 mW on rod (ref.205157) with x10 expander (ref.202992)
▪ 1 spectral power supply (ref.204315) and 2 housings for E27 bulb (ref.203390)
▪ 1 E27 Mercury spectral bulb (ref.204093) and 1 E27 Sodium spectral bulb (ref.204092)
▪ 1 double condenser (ref.202317)
▪ 1 projection lens Ø80 mm f+200 (ref.203241) in Ø80 mm frame (ref.202437)
▪ 1 white, squared metal screen 20x20 cm (ref.202368)
▪ 1 experiment note
