On order

Operating with both laser and white light, this compact Michelson interferometer allows all of the main experiments of the program to be carried out.
The space freed between the mirrors and the separator also allows experiments and measurements that are difficult to carry out on other types of interferometers.

Subjects discussed :
- Adjustment of the air gap interferometer with parallel faces
- Adjustment of the air wedge interferometer
- Interferences with different sources and notion of spatial coherence
- Air index measurement
- Measurement of the thickness and/or index of a very thin section
- Study of anti-coincidences of Sodium and determination of the doublet

Principles and objectives:
A Michelson interferometer is an optical device producing light interference. It consists of a splitter blade which divides the incident beam into 2 perpendicular beams. These beams are then reflected on two separate mirrors before recombining at the splitter. Variations in optical path length between the two beams then create interference.
