Optical model of the eye
Complete model for studying the optical characteristics of the human eye. The quality of the different elements allows for obtaining sharp images.
It consists of the following elements:
- The object (letter or drawing) is placed on a support in front of the model.
- Vision accommodation is achieved by a variable focal length lens and a diaphragm representing respectively the lens and the iris.
- The retina is simulated by a movable screen allowing visualization of the resulting image.
- Corrective lenses can be placed in front of the model when studying myopia and hyperopia.
To further explore, it is possible to replace the screen with a lensless camera, recording the obtained image then allows quantifying the notion of contrast.
- 1 object stand (letter or drawing) with 1 supplied object - 1 corrective lenses accessory - 1 diaphragm on an eyeball stand - 1 variable focal length lens with tube and syringe (the focal length variation is achieved by changing the volume of water in the transparent plastic lens) - 1 mobile and removable screen - 1 model support for elements with a movement guide. Allows for the storage of various elements. To be completed with a light source to illuminate the object.
