Additional study of aberrations
-10%
The main set 202764 allows you to study the fundamental principles of geometric optics: focal length measurement by different methods, conjugation law, magnification, autocollimation, etc.
The complementary set 202765 allows you to address the notion of geometric and chromatic aberrations.
Subjects discussed :
- Geometric aberrations
- Chromatic aberrations
Principles and objectives:
Focometrics constitutes the basis of geometric optics. It allows the study and determination of an optical system. The focal length of a system is an essential parameter for its study, it is therefore necessary to know how to determine it by various methods.
The term aberration is used to describe different defects in a lens or optical system. There are two types of aberrations: geometric aberrations causing image distortion and chromatic aberrations causing iridescence of the image contours.
