The sample-and-hold circuit operates in 2 modes: manual by pressing a push button to understand the basic principle, or automatic at a frequency set by the student using the switch provided from 1 to 20 kHz. The analog-to-digital converter transforms the held voltage into a binary digital word displayed using LEDs, with the student adjusting the resolution using a switch. The digital processing interface with display allows the decimal value of this binary word to be displayed. The digital-to-analog converter outputs a voltage. This voltage is the representation of the quantized voltage and can be compared to the sampled-held voltages and the input voltage. The signal of the digital data frame in the SPI protocol can be measured to demonstrate the principle of concatenation of parallel digital data in serial form. Digital processing allows configuring the transfer function of the sensor connected at the input, to display the value of the true physical quantity (quantity and unit) which, through appropriate configuration of the output via the digital processing interface, will drive an actuator.
