Bee Microbiome Kit (DNA electrophoresis)

Major environmental concern, the collapse of pollinator insect populations and particularly that of bees is worrying. This experiment demonstrates the multi-causal nature of this phenomenon and is based on recent research.
By conducting electrophoresis, students will understand the central role of the bee's intestinal microbiota in pollen digestion and the impacts of phytosanitary treatments on the host-microbiota symbiosis.
