CO medium Carrot powder for 1000 mL - Hormone free

Powdered CO medium for 1000 mL without hormone to study in vitro cell multiplication and root development of carrots.

Preparation of culture media:
- Open the bottle containing the dehydrated powder.
- Pour the contents of the tube into a container of sufficient size to obtain a good boil (1.5 liters for a dose of 1000 mL, 1 liter for a dose for 400 mL, etc.)
- Dissolve the culture medium in a boiling water bath until complete fusion, shaking occasionally.
- Distribute in the bottles (homogenizing the solution regularly between successive fillings) at the rate of 15 to 40 mL of culture per bottle.
- Sterilize for 20 minutes in an autoclave at 120° C or 30 minutes in a pressure cooker (from the hissing of the valve)
- At the end of sterilization, let the pressure drop without removing the valve (which would cause the caps to pop).
- Place the bottles in an inclined or vertical position depending on the media to be prepared and wait approximately 3 hours for them to gel (do not touch them while they are cooling).
