SIMPLIFIED MODULE: quickly visualize the studied phenomenon
- Automatic recognition and parameterization based on connected sensors
- Simplified scale management
- Simple and accessible mathematical tools
The simplified module allows for a quick visualization of the studied phenomenon in class. This provides a direct illustration of the lesson.
Simple mathematical tools are available to highlight a trend using a line or determine the coordinates of a point.
This module also includes a table of values related to the curve displayed on the graph.
DEDICATED MODULES: benefit from 6 pre-configured experiments to save time!
- Tool focused on the chosen practical work
- Comprehensive guide for independent work
With 6 in total, the dedicated modules allow students to work independently on a given experiment. Depending on the connected sensors, the software offers a list of possible manipulations:
In Life Sciences:
- Human respiration
- Animal respiration
- Heart rate
In Physics and Chemistry:
- Ohm's law
- Calorimetry (freezing or boiling)
- pH
The student is guided throughout the experiment, from setup to interpretation.
To summarize the results, a digital report is integrated into the module (diagram of the setup, table of values, graph). It can be printed or saved in PDF format.
GENERALIST MODULE: a real investigative approach
- Complete software configuration
- Integrated multimedia support
- Wide range of tools
The generalist module allows for full configuration of data acquisition (axis selection, acquisition duration, number of points, synchronization) and offers students great freedom in setting up their experiment.
Numerous digital tools are available:
- Mathematical tools
- Spreadsheet-grapher
- Multimedia support
- Report writing tool
A true integrated spreadsheet-graph
The Scientific Workshop's spreadsheet includes basic functions of traditional spreadsheets. By using the four arithmetic operations, it allows for calculations on columns, creating new quantities with units. From these quantities, curves are automatically displayed on the graph.
Title and curve annotations
The Scientific Workshop allows students to place a title on the graph and annotate curves based on the parameters used. These annotations simplify interpretation and clarify results when preparing the report.
Numerical display of measurements
The Scientific Workshop allows working directly with values, thanks to the numerical display of values. The student works with a real multimeter.
Report
Without changing software, the student prepares their practical work report by integrating various elements: texts, graphs, setup diagrams using an image bank, table of values. This report can then be printed or saved in PDF format.
Integrated multimedia support
To assist in setting up acquisitions, the Scientific Workshop includes multimedia support comprising:
- Information on sensors and their operation
- Dynamic support on software configuration
- Methods for using processing and modeling tools
