Excerpt from the syllabus:
Expression, stability, and variation of genetic heritage (1-A)
'Accurate cell reproduction and DNA replication'

Scientific issue:
The genetic heritage of eukaryotic cells is mainly contained in the nucleus. This heritage is organized into chromosomes that are only clearly visible during cell division.
What are the different aspects of genetic material during the cell's life, both during cell division and outside of it?
Mitosis is a cell division process that results in two daughter cells identical to the mother cell.
What is the behavior of chromosomes during the different stages of cell division?

Procedure:
The objective is to observe, at suitable magnifications, a preparation of cells at different moments of the cell cycle to establish their characteristics. This also allows for describing the stages of eukaryotic cell division.
The work conducted on different types of cells helps to highlight the universal nature of mitosis processes.
