The Fluke 709H calibrator is based on a user-friendly interface with Quick-Set rotary encoder button. This tool reduces the time needed to measure or generate voltages or currents, and to power a loop. The protective case easily fits in a technician's hand and the large backlit screen is very readable, even in the darkest and most cramped work areas.

The 709H model offers:

  • Exceptional accuracy of measurements to within 0.01%
  • Compact and rugged design operating with (6) standard AAA batteries
  • Intuitive user interface with "Quick-Set" quick setup button for easy use
  • Selectable integrated resistance of 250 for HART communication
  • 24 V DC loop power with mA measurement mode (-25% to 125%)
  • 1 µA resolution on mA ranges and 1 mV on voltage ranges
  • Simple connection with two wires for all measurements
  • Automatic power off to increase battery life (adjustable up to 30 minutes)
  • Variable increment and ramp times in seconds
  • Adjustable interval selection (0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA)
  • Valve testing (simulation of mA values set using % keys)

The specific HART features are as follows:

  • Fast calibration data transfer. The 709H/Track data logging software and cable document the parameters of all HART transmitters in your plant in .csv or .txt format.
  • Archiving or recording data on a specific transmitter for troubleshooting. The data logging tool offers a selectable capture interval ranging from 1 to 60 seconds, and a logging capacity of 9,800 records or 99 individual sessions. Each data sample contains the 709H measurement, the four process variables, and standard status conditions.
