Chauvin Arnoux CA6522 - Insulation Tester

The CA6522 insulation tester from Chauvin Arnoux is compact, lightweight, and ergonomic. The housing is designed with a 600V CAT IV safety category and an IP54 / IK04 protection rating, allowing for safe and easy handling with convenient access to the TEST button, even when the user is wearing insulating gloves. It features a magnetic stand to attach the product to a metal surface, providing freedom of movement for measurement and result reading. The display is large and backlit, with a dual digital display and logarithmic bar graph. A secondary display shows real-time information in addition to the measured value, including the actual test voltage, test current, and timer value. It comes with a remote control with a bright spot light for easy identification of measurement points even in low-light environments. This new range offers various insulation test voltages ranging from 10 V to 1 kV. The insulation measurement dynamic range goes up to 200 GΩ, with compliance to IEC 61557 standard up to 2 GΩ. In addition to manual mode, new insulation test modes such as Lock mode, Timer mode, and PI & DAR ratio calculations are available. The continuity check function complies with IEC 61557 standard (200 mA current), and on some models, it is enhanced with a 20mA test current to save battery power during standard use. This function includes active protection in case of voltage presence, eliminating the need for fuses. On most models in the C.A 652X & C.A 653x range, an alarm threshold can be set for each measurement, choosing between 2 fixed thresholds and 1 customizable threshold. The ΔREL function displays measurements as variations from a reference measurement, showing both the variation value and percentage relative to the reference. DMM functions include voltage measurement up to 700 V, frequency up to 800 Hz, resistance up to 999 kΩ, and capacitance up to 10 µF. Ease of operation: Analysis of measurements is made easier with the device's memory capacity of 300 measurements. The memory capacity is increased to 1300 slots for versions with Bluetooth® communication. The Megohmmeter Transfer (MEG) software module, included with communicative versions, enables remote test initiation with real-time graphical display and transfer of stored measurements to a PC. The values are then displayed by measurement type. The optional DataView® software suite generates customized measurement reports that can include site and operator details.
